International Data Transfers

Information that we collect may be transferred to countries which do not have data protection laws equivalent to those in force in the European Economic Area.  Whenever personal information that we have collected is transferred to countries outside of the European Economic Area, we make all reasonable efforts to ensure that it is kept secure, including;

(a) Wherever possible, transferring your personal information to a country that has officially been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data by the European Commission;

(b) Using specific contracts approved by the European Commission which can give personal data the same protection it has in Europe (called the “EU Model Clauses”)

(c) Where we use providers based in the US, transferring data to them if they are part of the Privacy Shield which requires them to provide similar protection to personal information shared between Europe and the US.  If the provider is not EU-US Privacy Shield certified, we may use the EU Modal Clauses.

Your Rights Under This Privacy Notice

(f) Request for personal information that we are processing to be restricted, so that we still hold it but no longer process it;

(g) Object to the processing of your personal information;

(h) Lodge a complaint to your national data protection regulator if you feel that your personal data has been unlawfully processed;

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal information, or to exercise any of your other rights.  This is a security measure to ensure that personal information is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.  We may also contact you to ask for further information in relation to your request to help speed up our response.

With the exception of consent, we may refuse a request if we feel we have the right to do so under the applicable data protection laws.
