Mike Skinner: Chief Executive

Mike entered the aviation industry in 1987 after an earlier career in banking and leasing, the last four years of which were as Managing Director of the leasing subsidiaries of a UK investment bank. Since entering the aviation industry he has acted for and advised many international airlines and financial institutions in the management, sale, acquisition and leasing of commercial aircraft.

Mike is a serving member of the board of ISTAT and is also Past Chairman of The Aviation Club of the UK, a non-profit making organisation providing a forum for the promotion of civil aviation.

Geoff Hindle: Chief Operating Officer

Geoff qualified as a lawyer in the UK in 1980. Prior to joining the aviation industry he was the company and commercial law partner in a provincial UK law firm having previously acted as in-house lawyer for a computer services company.

As Company Secretary and Chief Operating Officer Geoff is involved in all aspects of the company's activities and has responsibility for administration and accounting.

Graeme Shanks: Head of Marketing

Graeme is head of AMS's marketing team and also assumes responsibility for aircraft marketing across the UK, Ireland, South Asian and Far East regions.

Graeme has over ten years aviation experience having completed a first career as a warfare officer in the British Royal Navy. Specialising in air defence operations, Graeme's final appointment was as Air Director in the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal.

Upon completion of his military service and prior to joining AMS, Graeme worked for a large European defence and aerospace company where he was responsible for the management and development of the company's aviation service and support business, and its relationship with a number of airline, military and government clients.

Dominique Léonardon: Regional Director

Dominique holds a Diploma of Engineering in Air Transport from the French National School for Civil Aviation (ENAC) in Toulouse, France.

Prior to joining AMS, Dominique was Director, Fleet Management Services for Flightlease, the Swiss aircraft leasing company. He was responsible for the marketing of aircraft in the portfolio (leases and sales) and also dealt with the technical matters in respect of aircraft leases.

Before joining Flightlease, Dominique served at management level in several regional airlines in ground and flight operations, scheduling, network and fleet management. He also served as the General Manager of a regional carrier in the South Pacific.

A native French speaker, Dominique is based in Zaragoza, Spain and is the AMS Regional Director for mainland Europe and Africa.

Barney Hulme: Senior Vice-President — Technical and Continuing Airworthiness Manager

Barney is responsible for leading the management and co-ordination of all technical activities within AMS. He has over thirty years experience in the aviation industry is the nominated post holder for the company's Part M Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO).

Barney began his career in the Royal Air Force as a gas turbine engine specialist and has considerable expertise in the field of engine overhaul and development. Prior to joining AMS, Barney worked for a number of airlines in a variety of senior management roles.

Mark Lindsay-Bailey: Senior Vice-President — Aviation Portfolio Management

Mark is a senior investment banker with twenty five years worth of experience in the aviation and structured finance sectors.

Whilst leading various teams his work has encompassed credit analysis, loan funding, marketing, documentation and general portfolio management. Mark has worked with several banks including NatWest, Sumitomo, RBC, BLB and ING as well as spending 4 years with a Paris based arranger-company. He has acted as lead arranger on numerous bilateral and cross border transactions incorporating Japanese, UK, US, French, German and Canadian leases as well as synthetic operating leases and RVG's.

Paul Blackburn: Quality Manager

Paul is the Quality Manager at AMS and has been involved in all aspects of Quality Assurance, including EASA Part M, Part 145 and Part 21, over the course of a career spanning some thirty years.

Paul has successfully drafted, implemented and audited procedures to ensure compliance with EASA Part 145, Part M Continued Airworthiness, FAA 145 and overseas aviation authority airworthiness requirements. In his last role as Quality Manager at British International Helicopters, he was responsible for all aspects of quality control and assurance and for ensuring compliance with ongoing Part M, Part 145 & Part 147 approvals. Having previously worked for companies including FLS, Bristow Helicopters and Virgin Atlantic Airways, he has also accrued extensive experience of planning base maintenance checks and operations for a wide variety of fixed wing and rotary assets, including Airbus A340 and Boeing 747 aircraft.

Paul also has experience as a Certified Lead Auditor, auditing sub-contractors for compliance with EASA Part 145, Part M (subpart I), Part 21, G & J, AS9100 and ISO 9000:2008, monitoring non-conformance, and conducting business system and product audits.
