Technical and Aircraft Remarketing Services
We were mandated on behalf of a European bank (backed by two European Export Credit Agencies) to inspect two ATR 42-500 aircraft (both subject to a delinquent lease to an airline in India) with a view to taking redelivery of the aircraft and remarketing them for sale.
Our engineer performed an in-depth assessment of the physical condition of both aircraft and reviewed the associated maintenance records identifying problem areas and setting up a compliance timetable for rectification of those problems. As a result of our intervention, the leases were brought in to good order by the lessee.
Subsequently, after a brief aircraft remarketing campaign which identified several potential purchasers for the aircraft and after extensive negotiations with the lessee, the lessee agreed and completed a purchase of both aircraft.
